Jaimes Mayhew is an artist and researcher interested in things that tend to get overlooked. He uses video, film, lectures, writing, surveys and tours to investigate a variety of sociocultural norms and values, and most often works collaboratively on his projects. His current research interests include psychogeography, fear, gender/sex and small spaces.
Jaimes was born and raised in Denver and has lived Seattle, Boston and New York City. He currently resides in Baltimore, MD. He received a BA in Film (cum laude) from Emerson College in Boston, and is currently seeking his MFA in Imaging and Digital Arts from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
