about
kanarinka: in this enactment of "hello" i put 48 "HELLO" name tags on cars and dumpsters in public alley 818. since the original instruction was "hello world" i wanted to include a word related to "world". I got all of the books from my bookcase that have "world" in the title. These are:
- The Illustrated World's Religions - by Huston Smith
- The Perceptual World - Irvin Rock, ed.
- The Arab World - by Elizabeth Warnock Fernea & Robert A. Fernea
- Ways of Worldmaking - by Nelson Goodman
- The World Treasury of Physics, Astronomy, and Mathematics - Timothy Ferris, ed.
- God in All Worlds - Lucinda Vardey, ed.
i iterated through the books in the above order, opening a random page and choosing any word on that page that started with 'w' as the text of the HELLO name tag. i proceeded to distribute them in order to cars and dumpsters in the (snowy) alley.
