i worked from "scratch"
( a blank screen) to visualize a biomechanical version of my PC
operating system working in several functional modes and from different
points of view. The images here were built with pixel-focused applications
on a PMac 9500 clone.

'TLV (Snapshot)' is the
baby in the 'TLV Family'. It has only learnt one route through life
and must continually retrace its restricted journey down the same
branches until it can break the bonds of the tree.
A strong constituent of all of the artwork is the concepts of mapping
and journeys, which have been undertaken through a variety of techniques
including Psychogeography (i.e. the mental relationship between
areas rather than their geographic proximity). The work is illustrated
by providing isolated glimpses, snap shots or remnants, that are
only partially conceived by the participants, of events in time
and space.

Invention in drawing is my primary drive. When I am inventing, I
am immediately responding to what I am drawing. As I work, things
emerge that are not known to the conscious mind. I learn about myself
and art and life and the artwork exists as a record of that exploration.
